My four children are the passion and inspiration behind the founding of Wellness Connect, where our goal is to create a community that educates, and empowers people on issues in health and wellness.
I never purposely set out on this course but while raising my family along with helping my aging parents, living an active lifestyle and being fully engaged in my community I found myself more and more happily sharing information that I had discovered throughout my experiences. Others saw that I was really trying to do all this in the most honest and healthy way possible. Friends, then soon friends of friends, started to seek out my advice and thoughts on a range of subjects from alternative practitioners to yoga practices to nutritional diets as they too were trying to make meaningful and healthy changes in their lives. It was then I realized how important it was for me to be a part of helping others on their wellness journey - not only for them but for myself.
Before starting my family, I was an educator and reading therapist in the Greater Boston area, and I hold a Masters degree in Education. I'm constantly looking for ways to learn and grow more in the wellness community; in doing this I recently completed the first part of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) certification process. When I'm not busy with Wellness Connect, I can be found at home in Essex, Massachusetts with my husband, children, two puppies, three cats and several chickens. I enjoy yoga, long walks and taking in the beauty of the world around me.
