Reiki Master Practitioner/Teacher, Meditation Guide
East Boston, MA
To create and hold a space for deep relaxation; allowing the physical, emotional, mental, and/or spiritual bodies to relax, release, and replenish. Specialties include individual meditation teaching/guidance, creation of personal practice, and Reiki classes—levels 1 and 2.
As a daily meditator, and Reiki practitioner, I practice what I teach. I am passionate about the study/practice of meditation and Reiki, and in the fall of 2018, I traveled to Ashiya, Japan to study directly with Gendai Reiki Ho Master, Hiroshi Doi Sensei. I was drawn to study Gendai Reiki Ho, as it combines Dento-style Reiki (Japanese traditional Reiki that encourages spiritual growth—meditation) and Western-style Reiki (the practice of healing the mind and body). Reiki energy is gentle and generous, peaceful, nurturing, and restorative. I work closely with the client to explore, clarify, and set intentions for the session(s) to deepen their experience and foster their growth of self-awareness. As a Reiki practitioner, my aim is to support the client in developing self-awareness, encouraging and empowering them to awaken to their own natural healing ability through mind-body-spirit integration. When the body is relaxed, it is better able to re-establish balance within its systems (such as the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems), and when these systems are functioning in a state of homeostasis, the body is better able to protect, strengthen, renew, and heal.
